What you bring to SBHG (qualifications) :
- Support Counselor I : High School Diploma plus 2 years of experience; OR Associates degree plus 1 year of experience
- Support Counselor II : Associates degree plus 2 years of experience; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of experience; OR Master’s degree plus no experience
- Support Counselor III : Associates degree plus 3 years of experience; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience;
OR Master's degree plus 1 year of experience
- Degrees and experience must be in a related field (e.g., behavioral health, social services, juvenile probation / criminal justice)
- Valid California Driver's License
How you will make a difference (job overview) :
The Rehab Specialist / Support Counselor has primary responsibility for mental health services and case management services to clients and their families within Stars Community Services.
Division / Program Overview :
- School based outpatient program
- Provide services at designated school sites and in the community year round
- Services offered : Individual, family and group therapy, parent support groups, case management, collaboration with school staff
- Serve youth ages 5-18
- Services offered are trauma informed and culturally responsive
