Job Description
College of Professional Studies is seeking a part-time faculty / course developer to design, develop and / or instruct courses for the Bachelor of Professional Studies, Studies in Computer Programming Major.
BPS : Foundations of Digital Automation, online
This course is designed to equip students with an understanding of the fundamental concepts of digital automation. The course will explore the convergence of digital technologies with traditional automation processes and highlight the impact of this transformation on the industry.
Course Learning Objectives (CLO)
- Identify and describe key digital technologies used in an automation environment.
- Analyze the application of key digital technologies in various industrial scenarios.
- Explain the impact of key digital technologies on productivity, efficiency, and innovation.
Qualifications Master’s Degree (preferred) or significant experience in the field required. Job Specific Qualifications Candidates must have significant teaching and / or professional experience in this field.
Additional qualifications include :
- Online teaching experience
- Experience with instructional design preferred
- The ability to be self-directed with broadly-defined guidelines
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and efficiently with diverse people in a multidisciplinary environment
- Interest in learning to use new technological tools to engage students in a virtual classroom environment
Responsibilities The course developer will work closely with the Center for Online and Digital Learning (CODL) and the program director to create the course content, assignments, labs, and other course elements to meet the pre-established course and program learning outcomes throughout the development process that may take up to 10 months.
Course developers will also collaborate with the course development team at CODL to create video lecture materials, guide graphic design of content materials, and other elements of the course in accordance with established requirements and guidelines.
Course development activities must be completed in accordance with the defined deliverables and timelines to ensure the course is ready for launch.
