Minimum Requirements :

• Education : High school graduation or equivalency.
• Experience : 1 year of previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions.
• Physical Demands : A main requirement of the job is physical labor.

Licenses and Certifications :

• Valid Arizona Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsement is required upon hire .
• One Grade I Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Certification in Wastewater Collection is required upon hire .
• Must obtain Grade II Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Certification in Wastewater Collection within one year of hire .

The Utility Operator II for Wastewater Collection is responsible for monitoring, operating, and performing preventative maintenance at remote facilities, lift stations, and sanitary sewer mains within the City of Peoria.

Duties include hydro cleaning sanitary sewer mains, performing CCTV inspections, conducting weekly inspections at remote sites, and identifying, troubleshooting, and logging any issues with processes or equipment.
