Job Summary :
The Assistant Plant Manager will provide daily supervision and leadership to all employees in the production area ensuring policies and procedures are followed
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Strong documentation and technical communications skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to make quick, sound decisions, and serve as a safety champion
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Being a problem-solver by investigating problems and developing solutions
- Building a stronger team by working with your colleagues to resolve issues
- Making an impact from the ground up by developing improved processes
- Assuring data accuracy by having a strict attention to detail and auditing loads for shipping and receiving
- Fostering interdepartmental relationships by communicating inventory issues and working to find resolutions
Education and Experience :
- Degree in Business Administration / Agribusiness or related field
- 2 or more years of progressive experience in feed / food manufacturing
- Experience managing in a fast-paced production environment
Physical Requirements :
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
