QualityTechnician at DitchWitch :

Thisemployee principally helps oversee the quality system for DitchWitch® products. He or she also helps other employees withquality projects, training, and evaluating condition ofproduct.

WhatWill YouDo?

Reads,analyzes, and interprets information from a variety of sources,including service and operator's manuals, drawings, photographs,engineering specifications, notes,etc.

Recordsand initiates investigation of complaints from various areas acrossthefacility.

Interpretsmachine prints, welding prints, electrical schematics, hydraulicschematics, process flow charts, routing of parts, etc.

to containand resolve quality relatedproblems.

Initiatescorrective actions and preventativeactions.

Performsoccasional inspections of equipment, purchased parts, manufacturedparts, and defective parts returned from adealership.

Helpsget dispositions for out-of-specification material completed whichincludes contacting the appropriate department such as ProductSupport, Design, Purchasing,etc.

Assistsvarious departments for verification of new and existing productswhich may include supplier visits, dealership visits,etc.

Coordinatesproblem solving activities to identify and eliminate root causes ofnon-conformances.

Createsand conducts training about quality issues working with variousdepartments asneeded.

Researches,writes, and edits documents for the business such as change requestdocuments (CRD’s), reject tickets, procedures, work instructions,etc.

Organizes,maintains, and updates computer files of product-relateddocuments.

Performsother duties asassigned.

WhatWill YouNeed?

Highschool diploma or equivalentrequired.

QualityTechnician I : 0-3 years of related manufacturing and / or assemblyexperience.

QualityTechnician II : 3+ years of related manufacturing and / or assemblyexperience; ASQ Quality Technician Certification is not required,but preferred and is considereddesirable.

Exhibitmechanical, electrical, and hydraulics skills and aptitude andperform at the highestlevel.

Mustbe skilled with product and processes for supportedareas.

Knowledgeableof Quality standard concepts, practices, and procedures includingcorrective actions, deviations, change requests, problem solving,and leading / facilitatingteams.

Ableto utilize all available resources to conduct technicalresearch.

Excellentcomputer skills (SAP, data entry, MS Office including Excel andWord).

Demonstrateexcellent verbal communication and writing skills, includingresearch, organization, writing, formatting, andediting.

Havea good work record, including indications of strongself-motivation, high productivity, reliable attendance, attentionto quality, ability to learn new skills, and a cordial, cooperativepersonality.

WorkEnvironment :

Regular,continuous use of acomputer.

Officeenvironment some of the time, with regular trips to the shop(including Main Plant, Plant 3, and Product Development), andoccasional work outdoors.

The shop environment includes physicalhazards such as powered vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic,sharp objects, and moving machinery.

Outdoor work may includeobserving or operating equipment at test fields or constructionsites, in all kinds of weatherconditions.

Rapidlychanging workloads, priorities, anddeadlines.

Commonwork weeks of up to 50hours.
