Position : Aerial LinemanJob description : An Aerial Lineman should be able to do the following : -Work safely, with or without supervision-Fully understand and operate equipment, including, but not limited to an aerial lift device, lasher, and hand tools.

  • Perform work in accordance with industry standards. Read and follow design engineers' instructions and specifications, maintain the scope of work on the project and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Prepare engineering field notes. Interpret buried and aerial telecom facilities in records, maps and in the field with clarity and detail.
  • Lift and manipulate lasher and other cable placement equipment.-Follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing-Effectively communicate problems or concerns to the Foreman, Project Supervisor or Safety Manager.
  • Complete low-level and high-level labor-intensive tasks, as well as operation of assigned construction equipment.-Complete daily production reports to document work performed.
  • Use hand tools, ladders, and equipment to assist in the completion of an assigned project-Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.Special Requirements : -Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.-High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)-A valid State driver's license.
  • Physical Demands : Work involves standing, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
  • The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stand, stoop, kneel, and drive. Skill in operation of some of the listed tools and equipment;

and ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods. The employee must frequently push, pull, lift (10%) and / or carry up to 100 pounds and occasionally push, pull, lift and / or carry up to 100 pounds.

  • This job requires the use of computers or phones to access various apps and Microsoft Outlook.-This job's specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This job requires travel. When traveling, the lineman will be on a four week on, one week off rotation schedule.Work Environment : -While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in inclement weather conditions.
  • The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and / or humid conditions and vibration.
  • The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
