DSG is seeking a Product Data Analyst to assist in the continuation of our digital transformation. As a Product Data Analyst, you will help DSG manage and govern data, align on potential gaps, and connect data to key business processes .
You will work cross-functionally to improve the efficiency of business operations and gain alignment on data usage and future-state transformation which may be needed to support multiple needs across the different stakeholders in the organization.
While remote / hybrid work opportunities are available, the ideal candidate lives within DSG's geographical footprint, including Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

A Typical Day in the Life of a Product Data Analyst at DSG :
- Perform data management tasks such as creating or enriching product master data
- Search for data automation opportunities (business rule development, MN, et al.)
- Determine appropriate methods to analyze operations, relevant information, and data
- Identify operational requirements and areas of improvement & work with process owner(s) on solutions
- Create and edit workflows and configure related data needs in our MDM / PIM environment
- Create reports to analyze data
- Document findings and make recommendations for improved data governance
- Create user stories for the ongoing cross-channel product backlog (e.g., MDM / PIM, ERP, eComm, DAM)
- Adapt to other responsibilities as the business transformation evolves
A Successful Product Data Analyst Typically Has :
- First and foremost, critical thinking skills.
- Ability to look at data obtained through various data collection methods and differentiate facts from beliefs.
- Process-minded; ability to envision and even develop workflows to enable process efficiencies.
- Experience with product data, ideally in a retail or distribution landscape.
- Experience with Plumbing, HVAC and / or Electrical products preferred.
- Ability to efficiently communicate between departments and people involved in the business.
- Ability to understand the roots of a problem and identify their possible solutions.
