AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

We are looking for a well organized and self-motivated Executive Assistant to become part of our Worldwide Public Sector Team here at Amazon Web Services.

We are seeking a driven, bright, and motivated individual with a history of high performance to support our organization.

This exciting role requires superior attention to detail, great organization and prioritization skills, the ability to plan ahead and to meet tight deadlines, all while juggling multiple critical requests.

A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with leaders (at and outside Amazon) is important, as is the ability to be flexible and change direction seamlessly.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and want to take on varied and exciting new projects and learn new skills.

Youll need to take effective action without having to know the total picture, and efficiently and proactively solve difficult or complex problems that affect people within the department or other related groups.

Key job responsibilities

  • Proactively coordinate and engage with leadership in planning and organizing events, activities and calendars
  • Management of complex calendars, scheduling requirements, and prioritization of executive's tasks and appointments according to their importance, urgency, and relevance.
  • Act as a liaison for direct reports and business stakeholders
  • Extensive travel coordination (international and domestic)
  • Participate in planning of events and drive key team activities (staff meetings, all-hands meetings, supply ordering)
  • Work alongside other executive assistants within the org and throughout AWS to drive best practices and cross collaboration of efficiencies.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of senior level leadership support experience
  • Experience managing multiple executive level calendars
  • Experience with domestic or international travel coordination

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,100 / year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
