UHS is currently recruiting for our Regional Director of Managed Care for the acute division in our Texas / Oklahoma region.
Responsibilities include :
Maximizes the performance of UHS managed care contracted business in accordance with sound health care and fiscal management practices.
Establishes contracting parameters, rules of engagement and contracting tools to ensure creation of managed care contracts that meet UHS corporate financial goals and maximizes the potential for revenue collection per company systems.
Participates in payer negotiations as appropriate and requested by facility CEO’s and Regional VP’s.
Represents UHS to payers on a national basis to encourage open communication and maintains relationships beneficial to UHS.
Ensures managed care / revenue cycle coordination among all functional areas required to maximize contact performance (e.
g. business office, managed care, UM and CFO staff). Facilitates meetings of corporate and filed staff to establish parameters that ensure contract performance objectives and establishment of managed care / revenue cycle committees at all facilities with significant managed care business volume.
Strengthens managed care analytical reporting to improve negotiations goal setting and maximizing contract performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Comprehensive working knowledge of managed care contracting and practices sufficient to maximize revenue generated from these sources.
- Extensive knowledge of health care finance practices and methods.
- Demonstrated managed care contract negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated inter-personal and written and verbal communication skills required in imparting and developing contract negotiation practices to Acute Care hospital executive management staff.
