Responsibilities
Cat Scan Technicians are generally certified radiologic technologists. They operate the CT equipment to create diagnostic images of the interior parts of the human body.
They prepare the patient for the diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning the patient accurately, and as instructed by the physician.
The Cat Scan Tech is also responsible for maintaining the Cat Scan equipment. They help the physician in reading the images of the patients and in analysing the patient's condition.
Most travel Cat Scan Tech positions are on hospital premises.
Qualifications
- Valid BLS
- Candidates must have a valid professional license within the state of practice
- Specialty related certifications are preferred and may be required for specific allied healthcare positions
- Proof of right to work in the United States
