Cherry Glass & Aluminum (CGA) is a multi-generational local business established in 1968 as a branch of Capitol Glass and then purchased and rebranded in 1978.
CGA is currently looking for a self-motivated and reliable individual who enjoys working hard to join our team. CGA is located in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and specializes in glass and aluminum solutions for commercial and residential applications.
CGA prides itself on delivering exceptional service and quality craftsmanship across greater eastern Idaho and western Wyoming.
This position will be based out of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Se habla español.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities include :
- Provide expert leadership and supervision to project teams, including foremen, installers, and laborers.
- Project Management skills to oversee day-to-day operations of glass and glazing projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct routine inspections and site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage material procurement, inventory, and delivery schedules to support project timelines.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, progress updates, and as-built drawings.
- Studying blueprints and building plans to become familiar with the specifications of each project
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role within the commercial glass and glazing industry, or construction industry.
- Extensive knowledge of various glass and glazing systems, installation techniques, and industry best practices.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, guide, and motivate field personnel.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and timely project delivery.
- Strong familiarity with blueprints and proper measuring techniques
- Valid driver’s license with a willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- Experience with commercial framing systems, panels, windows, and doors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of glass types and materials used in production and installation.
- Proficiency in using glazier hand tools and equipment for measuring, cutting, and shaping materials.
- Ability to apply re-glaze, adhesives, or putty to doors, glass areas, and window sashes.
- Understanding and adherence to company safety protocols.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
- Willing to work overtime as needed to complete projects and meet deadlines.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and required personal protection equipment for use on the job.
