Front Desk Job Posting
MedMan is in search of a Front Desk Receptionist. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being challenged, excels at multi-tasking, is organized and someone who is very adaptable and focused on delivering a positive patient experience.
This role is designed to be for a Medical Assistant who would work both the front desk, as well as, provide Medical Assistant coverage when needed.
You will support the providers, staff, and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.
Primary Front Desk Responsibilities
- Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations in dealing with physicians, patients, patient families, visitors and co-workers in a professional and confident manner
- Greet patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
- Schedule patient appointments
- Obtain patient information and input it accurately into the EHR
- Obtain accurate insurance information and run verification
- Collect and process payments at the time of service
- Maintain patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
Medical Assistant Responsibilities (when providing coverage)
- Complete all required charting and documentation according to clinic guidelines and the direction of the Provider.
- Administer injections, draws blood, removes sutures and staples, and completes necessary forms according to clinic policies and procedures to ensure services are completed according to coding and billing guidelines.
- Answer patient calls with clinically related questions, to assist the Provider in providing ongoing care and treatment of patients.
- Provide ongoing patient education under the direction of the Provider
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
Minimum qualifications include :
- High school diploma; some college preferred
- Medical assistant certification
- Two years' experience in a clinic setting
- Proficiency in MS Office
- EHR experience preferred
- Reliable Transportation
- Willing to travel to various clinic sites in Treasure Valley
