Plant Accountant

Exciting opportunity for a meticulously organized Plant-Cost Accountant to oversee and improve costing and financial management procedures in manufacturing division.
This role demands a sharp, pragmatic individual who can maintain a steadfast oversight of our manufacturing costs, inventory, budgets and profitability calculators.
Responsibilities
Reporting of actual financial results for the operations department which includes
operations, manufacturing, procurement, logistics and facilities
- Financial control of all aspects of stock including provisioning and inventory management
- Entry of production totals that requires using internal calculators to convert measurements from millimeters to square feet
- Costing of internal requests for materials and engineering samples
- Tracking and entry of weekly and monthly labor hours
- Decision support for all aspects of the department aimed at improving overall performance.
- Development and reporting of financial and other KPI's for the department
- Ad hoc work including investment analysis to support operational decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred.
- Qualified accountant with 3-5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment
- A good understanding of manufacturing processes
- Demonstrable track record of success in a fast-paced growing business
- Experience of working with an ERP system
- Accuracy and skills in calculating figures, strong attention to detail; a right first time
attitude and approach.
