The Associate Project Manager will support an engineering team to deliver key programs or projects per associated timelines, quality requirements, and budget within Stryker's Interventional Spine business unit.

This is a hybrid role located in Kalamazoo, MI.

What You Will Do :

As an Associate Project Manager, you will lead a cross-functional engineering team in the planning, coordinating, monitoring and execution of new medical device projects.

In your role, you will ensure R&D projects are completed on time / cost & budget. You will support cutting edge medical device products from the inception phase to launch.

Lead the team in the development of the project charter and management plan. Direct, manage, monitor, and control project.

Evaluate tradeoffs within project.

• Meet with project stakeholders to understand and refine project scope; review with manager for approval. Create detailed Work Breakdown Structure.
• Develop and manage the detailed project Gantt chart. Analyze critical path and major workstreams.
• Collaborate with leadership, technical lead, and cross functional team members to establish project budget. Monitor and maintain costs within budget.
• Develop a risk management plan for the project. Identify, analyze and understand project risks, develop and monitor a risk response plan.
• Estimate, acquire and assign project team resources. Align the roles, responsibility, and deliverables for each team member.

Provide direct feedback to functional manager on performance reviews.

• Develop and Execute the communications management plan for project team and the needs of key stakeholders
• Leverage knowledge within the team to build skills and experienced needed to grow within the role to expand capability of taking on more responsibility.
• Builds successful working relationships with internal and external personnel in various departments. Understands quality system(s).

What You Need : Required

Required

• Bachelor's Degree required; in engineering or technical discipline
• 2 years of experience developing products with experience in new product development.

Preferred

Medical device or regulated industry experience
