At The Build Tank, we help social impact organizations renew the promise of technology platforms most commonly Salesforce using a human-centered model of technology stewardship.

In addition to helping turn around their technology platforms, we also help organizations build and incubate teams of technology allies’ who actively partner with colleagues to strategically understand their work and challenges.

This ensures that technology is beautifully set up to solve problems while empowering staff to use it effectively. As we grow, we are seeking a highly capable Project Manager to sequence and coordinate the delivery of our projects in close collaboration with our small team.

This is a remote position, with Pacific Time Zone working hours preferred. In this role, you’ll work closely alongside a project leader to ensure excellent sequencing, follow-up, communication, and coordination across a suite of interesting and often complex projects.

Please note that our client work is primarily focused on organizational development, and you would not be managing technical services delivery.

Responsibilities include : Own project plans from start to finish : Develop detailed project schedules, define key milestones, and ensure timelines are met for each phase of the project.

Coordinate across stakeholders : Manage clear, timely communication with both internal teams and external clients, ensuring seamless collaboration and follow-up.

Track deliverables : Maintain a clear view of all ongoing projects, tasks, deadlines, and deliverables in our task management system (currently Asana), ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

Prep & debrief client meetings : Create and manage meeting agendas, extract actionable next steps, and ensure all follow-up items are documented and tracked.

Monitor project progress : Actively track task completion, report status updates, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Facilitate efficient processes : Document project workflows, champion Asana and project management internally, and continually seek to improve our processes and workflows.

Handle administrative tasks : Ensure administrative aspects of project management (reporting, tracking, and task updates) are handled efficiently, using tools like Asana.

We’re looking for someone who : Is a natural project manager at heart : When given a project, you’re already thinking ahead about the sequencing of milestones and tasks, and you find satisfaction in helping all the pieces work in concert with each other.

Is an expert in project execution : You excel at creating structure where it didn’t exist before. You anticipate project needs, think several steps ahead, and ensure everything is in place to meet deadlines.

Is detail-oriented and dependable : Nothing slips through the cracks. You take pride in your organizational abilities and always follow through.

Has a proven track record : You have experience managing complex projects, keeping people on track, and delivering a complex portfolio of work on target and at a high level of quality.

You bring a can-do attitude and balance optimism with realistic expectations about capacity and timelines. Is familiar with the nonprofit / social sector : Familiarity with social sector culture and processes is important for navigating our projects.

Ideally, you also have experience with the front-end use of Salesforce or CRMs by nonprofit staff. Is an excellent communicator : You communicate clearly and effectively with clients and team members, ensuring alignment and keeping everyone informed.

Is a continual learner and iterative in your approach : You have a strong perspective but are open to learning and adapting.

Is a great teammate : You work well with others, are collaborative, authentic, encouraging, and oriented towards seeing the best in others.

Has an appreciation for collaboration : You engage with teammates with thoughtfulness and a sense of camaraderie, and you value hashing through things to arrive at better solutions.

Qualifications : 4-5 years of hands-on experience in a project management role, specifically managing complex projects or multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Bachelor’s degree highly preferred. High level of proficiency with project management platforms (Asana preferred). Strong strategic thinking, communication, and change management skills.

Experience working with nonprofit organizations strongly preferred. Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus. Agency experience preferred but not required.

Position / Application Details : Please include a cover letter and either a resume or your LinkedIn profile (one is required).

Salary range : $100k-$120k DOE, and benefits offered. Powered by JazzHR
