Overview

Responsible for the Strategic Sourcing, contract implementation, product evaluation and implementation, and facilitation of Value Analysis and project teams.

Works collaboratively with Cone health supply chain staff, physicians, administration, vendors, and other individuals internal and external to Cone Health to lower cost through effective utilization of products and sourcing resources and to improve the quality of patient care.

Responsibilities

Serves as a liaison for Strategic Sourcing to clinical and nonclinical departments, physicians, Atrium Health Supply Chain Alliance (ASHCA) PEP (Performance Enhancement Product Standardization), Value Analysis Teams, and vendors, by facilitating a mutual understanding and evaluation of product options, product benefits, and contractual opportunities and obligations.

Responsible in facilitating the entire Value Analysis Process including but not limited to management of VAT. Utilizes product management software from project initiation to completion, product specifications and conversions, updating assigned reports, trials, and implementations.

Collaborates with Contract Administration in Contract portfolio maintenance such as product and price analysis for new contracts and track overall contract savings.

Applies advanced knowledge to identify standardization opportunities and interacts with all department leaders to develop, coordinate, and integrate cost management programs that support favorable patient outcomes and quality of care.

Adheres to the organizational Strategic Goal and incorporates brand promise in the CVA workflow in keeping the patients in the center of decisions.

Coordinates with all supply chain staff to address various issues and initiatives to manage cost and standardizations while working to improve processes, and the quality of patient care.

Supports service lines in managing product additions, product standardization, backorders, and product substitution.

Responsible in completing additional assigned projects such as product substitutions, product recall and product failures.

Responsible for Contract portfolio Maintenance such as product and price analysis for new Contract, manage PCR changes from CHS to MMIS systems, Update contracts in PO25, and track overall contract savings.

Creates, evaluates, negotiates and executes a variety of different contracts covering a range of transactions. Creates and maintains relationships with suppliers and Cone Health stakeholders.

Analyzes all requirements and provision in contract, including terms and conditions to ensure compliance with all laws and company policies.

Maintains accuracy of the Lawson MMIS system, including building contract headers, and maintaining contracts, items, pricing directly and in conjunction with the Data team.

Leads complex contract negotiations and manages all changes and addendums to existing contracts.

Performs appropriate clinical, administrative and operational research to support proposal contract development.

Engages relevant stakeholders in negotiation decisions involving legal or regulatory requirements, contract standards and cost targets.

Collaborates with CVA?s in contract management.

Qualifications

EDUCATION :

Bachelor?s degree plus three to five years of work experience preferably in health sciences, materials management, business administration, nursing or related field.

EXPERIENCE :

Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in supply chain, value analysis, purchasing, materials management in a health care profession, or 4 to 5 years' inpatient nursing or clinical experience, in lieu of business experience.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRY / LISTING :

REQUIRED for RN applicants :

Current, valid North Carolina RN license or Compact State.
