We are a leading IT staffing agency specializing in providing top-tier talent to various sectors, including healthcare. Our client, a prominent player in the healthcare industry, is seeking a skilled Security Analyst to join their team.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical security initiatives remotely, with occasional on-site presence in Denver, CO.
Candidates must reside in the Denver, CO region.
Position Overview : As a Security Analyst specializing in Data Classification and Data Loss Prevention (DLP), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our clients sensitive information.
In addition to your technical expertise in DLP solutions, you will leverage your strong communication and technical writing skills to support the security awareness program.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Data Classification and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies and implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain data classification policies and procedures.
- Implement and manage DLP solutions to safeguard sensitive information and prevent data breaches.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with data security standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Provide guidance and training to staff on data handling practices and security awareness.
- Create technical documentation, reports, and presentations related to data classification, DLP, and security awareness initiatives.
- Participate in incident response activities and contribute to the resolution of security incidents related to data leakage or exposure.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in implementing and managing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions.
- Strong technical background with the ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts effectively.
- Excellent technical writing skills with experience in creating policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Solid understanding of data classification methodologies and best practices.
- Experience in the healthcare industry or other regulated sectors is highly preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are a plus.
