Responsibilities Salt Lake Behavioral Health is seeking a passionate PRN Yoga Instructor for our Experiential Therapy Department.
Must be available to work weekdays. Salt Lake Behavioral Health is a private, -bed freestanding psychiatric hospital that specializes in mental health and substance abuse treatment for adults.

The Yoga Instructor is responsible for planning and implementing Yoga services at Salt Lake Behavioral Health, which involves supporting patients in their mental health journey.
The Yoga Instructor strives to provide a therapeutic environment through empathetic and continuous patient care, observation and interaction.
The Yoga Instructor is responsible for providing trauma-informed yoga for patients of all ability levels, teaching patients mindfulness practices for self-regulation, and educating patients on appropriate breathing techniques to reduce emotional distress.

Education in the art of yoga required. Experience : Minimum of one year of related experience, knowledge and understanding of psychiatric patient care techniques and mental illness preferred.
Minimum of two years of yoga instruction experience required. Licensure : Current RYT- certification required. Trauma-informed or trauma-sensitive training required.
Additional Requirements : CPR certification is required. Mandt Training is required within 90 days. The Yoga Instructor must successfully complete facility-specific training for restraints and seclusions.
This training must be completed within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting any patient restraints or seclusions.
