Job Title : Sr. Contract Manager

Duration : months (potential to extend)

Location : Hybrid / Foster City, CA

Hybrid FC Tues, Wed and Thurs- Remote- Mon and Friday

Rate : $ - $ on W without any benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

  • First level Sr. Manager responsibilities may include one or more of the following : contract development including but not limited to contract review, Distribution and related Distribution Services agreements, drafting simple amendments, contract waivers, and other documents from templates, and contract records management in APTTUS CLM system.
  • Liaises with external customers or vendors to ensure satisfactory services levels, manage contract inquiries, and assist with resolution of escalated contract-related issues.
  • Serve as a liaison and coordinates actions for activities with internal cross-functional and legal teams, as needed during contract development, negotiation stages and monitors progress in APTTUS tracking tool.

Assists Director of Trade Contracts with responses to Gilead stakeholders during contract review, development and post execution set-up process.

Recognizes any changes that need to be made in contracts in order to mitigate organizational risks and assists with negotiations of those changes.

May set appropriate priorities with clients and delivers results within the established timelines. Work is performed using well-defined procedures and detailed instruction.

Builds relationships with senior management and cross-functional teams to facilitate current and future needs, participates in and assists with recommendations on contracting structure for new product launches.

Assists with developing, implementing and complying with standardized departmental operating procedures and Implements specific policies and procedures to comply with local legislation.

Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to contracts.

Experience and Requirements

  • Project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of contract structure and legal terms.
  • Ability to resolve complex / escalated issues.
  • Possess a strong customer service orientation while maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentially with each interaction.
  • Recognizes and interpret business issues / opportunities and recommend solutions through analysis.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on time management and follow-through.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline intensive environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word , PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, and comfort learning new information technology systems.

Familiarity with Salesforce, APTTUS CLM or other CLM tool a plus.

  • Paralegal certification or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
