Senior Procurement Manager

We are CMI Custom Made Inventory We are a family-owned business headquartered in St. Pete, FL. Due to our incredible growth we are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager.

This role reports to the Director of Commercialization and provides the opportunity to lead our efforts to employ best practices in our approach to international procurement.

This role provides the opportunity for an experienced procurement leader to do all kinds of cool procurement things like :

• Lead all aspects of supplier negotiations requiring understanding of contractual terms and sourcing levers
• Identify, develop, and implement sourcing strategies to reduce cost and improve supply
• Implement strategic supplier strategies and initiatives to achieve maximum value
• Develop aligns and drives strategic projects to improve procurement processes tools and efficiencies
• Manage and oversee all purchasing of in-house and outsourced materials
• Optimize inventory to ensure the balance of inventory turns, product availability and total cost for multiple product families
• Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and processes that support inventory management, forecasting, replenishment, and supplier performance
• Collaborate with suppliers on processes and procedures, service performance, financial performance, production schedules, inventory levels, and inventory visibility
• Manage the product life cycle of materials including new product introduction and design
• Mentor team members developing new skills and honing existing skills
• Utilize innovative approaches to material planning methods and cost reduction strategies
• Support new product development and introductions, new supplier onboarding, and sustainable sourcing initiatives

Desired Skills & Experience : Here’s what we think it will take to thrive in this role :

• 3 years’ experience leading a team of procurement professionals
• 5-7 years’ experience in Procurement including inventory management, planning and forecasting, and all aspects of contract and supplier negotiations
• 2 years’ experience working with international suppliers preferred
• Ability to prioritize work tasks
• Excellent knowledge of MRP / ERP Systems and Excel we use Odoo
• Demonstrated success leading and developing team members
• Bachelor's Degree significant experience may substitute for education
• Bilingual English / Spanish preferred

We pay a competitive base salary and you’ll be eligible for a quarterly performance bonus (that’s a bonus 4 x a year)! We offer medical, dental and vision plans.

Candidate Geography : We are looking for local candidates or candidates already in the processing of moving to the Tampa St. Pete area.

Work Location : St. Petersburg this is NOT a remote position.
