Lead QA/Tester

Job Title : Lead QA / Tester (US Citizen Only)

Location : Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities :

• Lead the QA team in defining, designing, and executing test strategies, test plans, and test cases for software projects.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers to improve their skills and ensure best practices are followed.
• Collaborate with development, product management, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and create comprehensive testing strategies.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
• Conduct hands-on testing, including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Coordinate and manage the execution of manual and automated test cycles across various platforms and environments.
• Identify, log, and track software defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla), and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure that quality standards, testing processes, and best practices are maintained throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Continuously evaluate and improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes to ensure optimal test coverage and efficiency.
• Develop and deliver regular status reports on testing progress, defect resolution, and overall product quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that software is deployed with minimal defects and meets functional and business requirements.
• Drive test automation efforts to improve efficiency and increase test coverage, particularly for regression testing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality assurance best practices for all products and projects.
• Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in software quality assurance and testing.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Lead QA Engineer, QA Manager, or Senior Software Tester with a strong background in manual and automated testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
• In-depth understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) for test automation.
• Strong experience in Agile / Scrum development environments and continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) processes.
• Knowledge of performance testing, load testing, and stress testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify root causes and suggest solutions.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of QA engineers.
• Experience in version control systems (e.g., Git) and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Federal Experience is a plus.
• Required Security clearance.
