Service Lead The Hatchery Lead is responsible for learning and supporting hatchery operations while optimizing quality output through the efficient supervision of employees and processes in the overall production and delivery of day old poults under the direction of the Hatchery Manager.

The hatchery lead provides supervision and management support for the hatchery function. The position reports to and is supervised by the Hatchery Manager.
The hatchery lead assists in scheduling and helps direct and coordinate hatchery activities such as hatching of eggs, sorting, vaccinating and shipping of poults, and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
The hatchery lead assists in supporting and enforcing hatchery policies and practices that ensure attainment of goals. The hatchery lead is responsible for providing excellent customer service with delivery of consistent high quality poults to customers.
The hatchery lead assists in carrying out all directives in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws, including scheduling, assigning and directing work.
He / she must have strong communication and collaborative skills, working extensively with hatchery employees and hatchery manager.
Creating a strong team environment is crucial in this role. All Company information will be handled with complete confidentiality.
Work requires frequent sitting, standing, walking and use of keyboard / computer. Work is subject to tight deadlines and multitasking skills are required.
Work includes long hours, including weekends. Review performance data that includes activity reports and spreadsheets, to monitor and measure hatchery productivity and goal achievement.
Arrange for purchase of hatchery supplies. Work an extended day if needed Any other duty assigned by the supervisor Requirements 2+ years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with employee supervision. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Proficiency with MS Office is required.
