JOB SUMMARY
Assist the Accounting Manager / Supervisor to provide timely and accurate financial results / analysis and serve as point of contact for respective Business Unit.
Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and Company’s policies and procedures.
Work with Nabors shared services personnel and systems to ensure accuracy and completeness of services.
Qualifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform monthly / quarterly close process ensuring all entries are accurate and processed timely for assigned areas
- Provide accurate and timely financial statements and reports to management
- Complete analysis / reconciliations of income statement and balance sheet accounts and investigates deviations from forecasts or historical trends
- Support the Operations teamfor accounting / financial issues and questions
- Drive continuous improvement in the group and implement efficient and effective procedures; correctly document all processes
- Support interim and year end reporting and audit requirements and provide assistance to external auditor, if required
- Assist FP&A team with forecast / budget . Review and challenge operational assumptions as they are basis for variance analysis
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities as required by management
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- 5+ years of experience
- Extended periods of work may be required during financial reporting close.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and meet goals and deadlines.
- Computer skills required job entails working with several software applications
- Strong analytical skills and accounting technical knowledge
- Good written and verbal communication skills required
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proven ethics, professionalism and discretion
- Must be detail oriented
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
