A new commodities trading team within a 20-year-old HFT is looking to hire junior quant traders.
The team is led by a seasoned professional within the commodities space looking to grow a strong team culture in Chicago.
There are currently 5 team members looking to grow to 8 by the end of year. This opportunity is for someone with a hunger to contribute to a small dynamic team with a clear trajectory.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in executing and managing trades
- Communicate with brokers to gather market insights.
- Contribute to both systematic and discretionary trading strategies.
- Analyze market trends
- Writing production level python code
Qualifications :
- 1-2 years of trading or commodities experience, ideally in oil or gas.
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience engaging with brokers.
- Strong analytical skills and a team-oriented mindset.
