Server Assistant
The Back Waiter at Fieldings River Oaks is responsible for supporting the Captain with tasks such as manicuring and pre-bussing, setting up and breaking down the dining room, polishing plate ware, glassware, and silverware and serving non-alcoholic beverages, burnishing the floor, helping the Captain create a positive guest experience leading to repeat guest visits.
Essential Duties :
Support the Captain in serving the guest
Create a positive experience for the guest
Set up and break down the dining room
Nonalcoholic beverage service and maintenance
Must know the Pivot Point system
Stocking side stations
Have reasonable menu knowledge
Understand and follow the stated steps of the service
Be able to carry food and beverages on a tray
Clear tables with proper plate handling
Communicate with guests in a positive clear manner
Polish glass and silverware
Burnish the dining room floor at the beginning of each shift
Must present clean and professionally in the stated uniform
Have high integrity
Competencies & Qualifications :
Must be able to stand for eight hours a time
Be able to be on time in a specified uniform
Bi-lingual a plus
Demonstrate interest and share knowledge of food
Able to lift and carry 50 pounds
Able to follow directions
Consistently search ways to improve and promote a high level of guest service
Accept constructive criticism
Treat guests and Partners with respect
Provide a risk free and safe working environment and experience
Apply accurate logic and common sense in decisions making or solving problems
Seek expertise help and resources to achieve goals and objectives
