3-mile, world-class park that stretches along the Brooklyn waterfront from Atlantic Avenue to Jay Street, north of the Manhattan Bridge.
Adding much-needed open space for Brooklyn and New York City residents, Brooklyn Bridge Park contributes to the extraordinary revitalization of the waterfront in the New York Harbor, serving as a bridge from the commercial uses of previous centuries to the recreational uses of the future.
Essential Functions : Work hours will be Monday through Friday 7am-3 : 30pm Perform daily turf maintenance including mowing and string trimming Hand pull broadleaf invasive plants on lawns Oversee volunteer groups on turf maintenance projects Perform detail-oriented tasks such as edging valve boxes, weeding small areas, hand watering, filling in holes Maintain and clean turf equipment Assist in aerification and seeding Assist in other horticulture operations and tasks as needed Qualifications : Valid Driver’s license High school or equivalent (Preferred) The employee frequently is required to stand and be active.

The Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation (BBP) develops, capitally improves, maintains, and fully operates the Park as a 501 (c) not-for-profit, controlled by the City of New York.
BBP is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Park, including horticulture, maintenance, capital planning and construction, event permitting, and concession oversight.
The Park is designed by Brooklyn-based landscape architecture firm Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, Inc.
