Job Description
Atlas Molded Products is seeking Production Associate - Material Hauler 2nd Shift for the Byron Center, MI facility .
Material Hauler Primary Responsibilities
- General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
- Verify shipping and receiving of all materials. Inspect and package parts according to specification pages and record required information on in-process sheets.
- Maintain productivity standards and verify all job requirements of the final products with the correct density, material, weight, size, and shape within given quality tolerance to meet specific job requirements.
- Verify equipment set-up throughout the process; operate and power down manufacturing
- Operate or assist with machinery such as, but not limited to hauling, wrapping, sanding, and printing equipment.
- Cut, bundle, wrap, stack, pack, assemble and label materials per specific production instructions.
- Knowledge of and ability to operate Pre-breakers / Re-Grinding equipment to recycle EPS.
- Perform any other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
- Must be trained and familiar with general safety.
- Must be trained and familiar with Quality System Awareness.
- Must be verified by supervisor and be signed off on procedures needed to fulfill job requirements within 2 months of hire.
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.
Material Hauler Experience
Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment helpful.
Material Hauler Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to write and speak English for safety and quality purposes.
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn and use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools such as a tape measure.
Material Hauler Education, Licenses & Certifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred.
