Water Manager Systems, Integrated Facilities Services

What this job involves -

To help meetinghouse facilities department use water resources wisely and help irrigation systems to function as efficiently as possible.

What is your day to day?

• Work with water agencies, public utilities, vendors, and smart controller data to ensure landscapes are properly and appropriately watered to avoid waste and reduce cost.
• Monitor water budgets, billing, and water use data-Work with team members to correct excessive use and inefficient systems
• Oversee vendor use of smart controllers to ensure the following : -Landscapes are watered appropriately and according to state and local guidelines and / or restrictions-Smart controller alerts are addressed, and associated system repairs are completed in appropriate timeframes-Work with vendors to ensure appropriate smart controller settings are used to provide maximum efficiency of the irrigation system
• Manage software, vendor / employee permissions, activations, controller organization, and other duties associated with smart controller systems
• Work with companion facility service providers to ensure consistency of smart controller organization, & management throughout North America
• Inventory irrigation system assets such as irrigation types, controllers, pumps, filters, etc.
• Oversee intern or temporary employees to audit and inventory irrigations systems
• Assist in long-term planning of facilities-Communicate with management audit information to assist in long term planning to upgrade aging, degraded, and / or inefficient irrigation systems

Desired experience and technical skills.

Required :

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture, landscape management, horticulture, or related field preferred
• 5 years of professional experience in landscape maintenance, design, or management of irrigation systems, components, and smart controller software
• Knowledge of irrigation design and management, water-wise design principles, etc.

Preferred :

QWEL, IA or similar certifications
