Job Summary
We are currently looking for a proactive Billing Clerk to support our growing demands within our District. This role is located in Portland, OR.
This is an exciting position where you will not only ensure billing accuracy and invoicing but also contribute to enduring dedication to corporate social responsibility.
Job Description
- Use multiple systems including Excel to coordinate calculation of costs for goods and services.
- Compile invoices (100+) with backup documentation accurately based on contract terms on a bi-weekly and monthly basis to substantiate client billings.
- Ensures accurate and timely billing for products or services rendered and maintains records of payments received.
- Resolves billing discrepancies or disputes.
- Maintain, track, and monitor multiple other related data platforms timely and accurately.
- Prepares and distribute billing, Account Receivables, and other financial reports as scheduled (weekly and monthly)
- Document and maintain billing processes SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate billing and provide assistance as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills Required
- 1 3 years of experience in billing, accounting, costing or a related field
- Prior SAP or other timekeeping system knowledge preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles and practices
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- At least Intermediate skills of Excel required.Comfortable with pivot tables, vlookup and using other formulas to analyze data exported from ERP systems.
- Strong organizational, time management and communication (verbal / written) skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills required
- Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, as needed
- Outstanding attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Enthusiastic team player with an interest in helping the team stay connected and working effectively together
- Ability to handle high volume and tedious transaction tasks
- Willingness and ability to work OT to meet deadlines when necessary.
