The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an International Transportation Sr. Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by :
- Catalyzing operational excellence overseeing import and export logistics operations for 3M’s US and Canada operations
- Focusing on customers via identification of improved service programs and speed and reliability across inbound and outbound logistics flows
- Sponsoring improvement programs aimed at optimizing the transportation networks across all modes of international shipping
- Contributing to strategic planning and global initiatives as a key member of the global Transportation senior leadership team
- Driving a vision and effective transportation strategy with a team of strong and capable 3M logistics professionals in US and Canada logistics.
- Collaborating with Division and Business Group partners to lead, optimize, and cultivate continuous improvement of Supply Chain Operations
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Ten (10) years of logistics experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Three (3) years of international transportation experience in public, government or military environment
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include :
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics from an accredited institution
- Strong analytical abilities
- Ability to bring an outside-in and innovative focus on programs to drive safety, service, cost, and quality
Work location :
Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to St. Paul at least 3 days per week)
Travel : May include up to 20 % domestic / international
