Mid-level Corporate Associate (Oil & Gas)
Our client, a top Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a mid-level associate with 3-6 years of experience to join their Oil and Gas M&A team.
This position is based in the firm’s Houston, Texas office.
The salary range for this position is between $260,000 - $390,000 (annually) and may vary depending on experience and other factors.
Overview :
Associates will be expected to advise corporate strategic and private equity clients in connection with acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures in the upstream and midstream sectors, oil and gas-related commercial contracts, carbon capture and sequestration projects, other similar transactions and general matters relating to oil and gas law.
This role is expected to have significant direct client contact and will offer a great opportunity for entrepreneurial associates to develop relationships with clients and manage matters with a high degree of independence.
Qualifications :
- 3-6 years of experience (seeking law school class years 2018-2021)
- Significant experience handling upstream and midstream M&A transactions
- Good understanding of oil and gas and real property law and market terms
- Substantial experience in drafting transaction documents and effective deal management
- Driven personality, business development-oriented mindset, and ability to take on high level of responsibilities and work with autonomy
- Must have a J.D. from an accredited law school and possess strong academic credentials
- Must be admitted to the Texas Bar
