Ron Tonkin Chevrolet has been servicing Portland’s automotive needs for decades and as always, business is growing! With that being said, we are interested in adding a Used Car Technician / Mechanic to our Service Department.
Many of our clientele for our service department are used car owners so this position plays a significant role on our service team.
The ideal candidate would be an individual with prior technician experience with a reliable track record.
Used Car Technician / Mechanic Job Responsibilities
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Keep the shop area neat and clean.
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership.

Qualifications
Used Car Technician / Mechanic Qualifications
- 1-3 years prior used car technician experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Personal Tools.
Corporate hiring requirements : 18 years or older with a clean driving record, valid driver's license, able to pass criminal background, and drug screen THC not included in the screening.
