Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner needed to assist our Trauma Surgeons at our growing Level II Trauma Facility in Augusta, Georgia.

Qualified Candidates :

• We are recruiting for a full time advanced practitioner (PA or NP) that is comfortable with all aspects of Trauma.
• 2 years of PA / NP trauma and critical care experience preferred.
• Night time position, includes 3 12 hour shifts weekly with coverage of trauma / emergency general surgery patients, mostly hospital floor inpatient coverage.
• This position is a key team member of the trauma team, assisting the trauma surgeons in critical situations and ICU patient management while facilitating patient progression to discharge.
• Responsibilities include : round on floor patients, ICU patients (trauma only of course), responding to trauma resuscitations and assist with trauma consultations in the ED;

progress notes; H & P; respond to nursing's' phone calls; write orders.

• Requirements : NP / PA GA license(unrestricted), ACLS, BLS, ATLS preferred
• Desired characteristics : Clinical background in ED or critical care, strong critical thinking skills, able to function autonomously, strong communication and computer skills, comfortable working across disciplines to facilitate patient care.
