Conducts assigned duties according to procedure. Operates cash register and properly settles checks. Under direct supervision, responsible for handling guest services and the procedural handling of : Point of Sale functions through the POS System in most F&B outlet, Point of Sale functions in the garage / valet parking, manual cashier functions for banquet events / employee sales, beginning and ending shift procedures.
POS settlement functions include but are not limited to; cash, coupons, credit cards, comps, room charges, employee meals and walkouts.
Responsible for performing Point of Sale functions in F&B outlets which include but not limited to the following task : perform POS sign on / off functions and precheck functions.
Responsible for selling beverage tickets according to description and price at cash bar functions. Accepts cash or casino parking receipts and issues parking receipts.
Able to handle monetary transactions with accuracy. In the Parking outlet, files guest’s keys and parking tickets systematically to insure efficient retrieval of vehicles.
Maintains files to properly reflect location of all parked vehicles and ensures parking tickets are properly completed by parking staff.
Maintains records of total cars parked and delivered by each attendant to ensure tip equality. Able to stand for long periods of time.
EDUCATION / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE : High school diploma. Typing and adding machine skills. Prior experience as cashier preferably in hospitality industry.
Good guest relations skills. Mathematical abilities : addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; ability to make change for guests.
