Environmental Diversified Services, Inc. (EDS) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our team on a contractual basis for three to six months, with the potential for a full-time position.
As a pivotal member of our finance department, the AR Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and executing various tasks within the accounts receivable function to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Responsibilities :
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to facilitate timely collection of payments.
- Coordinate with internal departments to address customer inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of all transactions, communications, and collections activities.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis related to accounts receivable.
- Collaborate with team members to implement process improvements and streamline AR procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide support to the AR team as needed and perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in accounts receivable or related financial role is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Prior experience in the environmental services industry is a plus.
