The Director of Global IT SOX reports directly to the Senior Director of Global IT SOX and will help provide global leadership for IT general controls (i.
e., ITGCs) and related IT dependencies which support the annual PCAOB integrated audit.
What you'll do :
- Collaborate and support other teams, such as the Global Risk & Controls team, technology, and other business stakeholders, in ensuring IT policies, procedures, and controls are aligned with PCAOB standards and best practices.
- Maintain a current and up-to-date understanding of Walmart's process, procedures, and controls within ITGC domains for key IT SOX systems.
- Participate in the scoping and execution of the annual SOX program plan utilizing a risk-based approach.
- Provide oversight of the effectiveness of the control environment for IT systems that support SOX.
- Support the IT Global SOX program through activities such as reviewing business and IT walkthroughs.
- Verify IT controls are designed appropriately to address relevant IT risks.
- Identify and assess the design of relevant IT dependencies that support SOX.
- Report on the effectiveness of the IT control environment to leadership.
- Participate in Global SOX strategic planning activities.
- Serve as a key advisor during business transformations.
- Support further enhancement and modernization of the Company's financial reporting control framework.
- Foster an ethical work environment by promoting and modeling ethical behavior.
- Maintain technical knowledge and professional development through continuing education.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, computer information systems, or related field.
- Minimum seven years of experience in public accounting or related industry.
- CPA or CISA preferred.
