POSITION SUMMARY :

Do you want to be part of an Authentic, Award-Winning and Legendary BBQ Team? At Famous Dave's Managers have the unique opportunity to learn both the Front of House and Back of House positions within our restaurants.

Once you have successfully completed the Manager in Training (MIT) program, you will be a Manager working with some of the best in the business! During your training you will work closely with an experience Manager and Team Members on projects such as preparing food, performance evaluations, and developing team members.

We'll give you the training, all you need to do is bring a great attitude, and a love of great BBQ!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Uphold Famous Dave's Vision, Values and Culture and have a strong passion to serve and manage the overall operations of the restaurant.

Responsible for effectively running shifts.

  • Lead, schedule, train recognize and coach all team members to provide a great guest experience
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, training and developing our team members.
  • Constantly monitor the overall operations of the restaurant that affects sales, including : customer satisfaction, food quality (taste and presentation), ambiance, cleanliness, décor, and service standards
  • Monitor the attitudes, morale and management effectiveness through direct contact with the co-managers and individual team members and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Work with the General Manager to oversee the accuracy of daily and weekly management duties such as : reports, cash handling, daily deposits, overages / shortages, safe security, paid outs, inventory control and documentation, etc.

Must be able to accurately count money and provide correct change

  • Conduct weekly inventory to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Maximize sales and restaurant profitability by working with the management team and team members to seek out sales building opportunities
  • Responsible for effectively running shifts

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Minimum 2+ years of restaurant management work experience
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License
  • Superior people management skills, communication and listening skills required
  • Required to work a flexible schedule including : days, nights, weekends and Holidays
  • NRA ServSafe Food and Alcohol certifications preferred
  • Working knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation, alcohol safety, safety and security systems and procedures, and computer operations preferred

Physical Demands :

  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to twelve (12) hours in length
  • Ability to lift pots and pans, trays, bus pans, cases of beer, and materials weighing 40 pounds or more
