Skills
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries and conditions within the scope of your practice.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including ordering diagnostic tests (labs / Imaging / etc.), noninvasive / invasive treatment modalities, lifestyle modifications and prescribing medications.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity.
Educate patients and their families on disease management, preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices.
Perform procedures such as wound suturing, trigger injections, joint injections and intrathecal pump refills within the scope of your practice.
Maintain accurate and complete medical records in compliance with clinical / regulatory policies.
Stay current with medical advancements, evidence-based practices and professional developments.
Be a leader, have excellent communication skills, strong ethics and take initiative to better the work flow and environment.
Requirements / Experience
Completion of an accredited PA program with certification or masters / doctoral degree in nursing with completion of NP program with national certification.
Current unencumbered license to practice within Washington State.
Current unencumbered DEA license.
Strong understanding of pain management protocols / guidelines / rules through CDC, state boards and AMDG Washington.
Preferred experience in pain management and / or in either orthopedics or neurosurgery.
