We are seeking a committed and passionate Expanded Learning Literacy Instructor to lead a gender-specific curriculum to girls in kindergarten through third grade as part of our East Bay Expanded Learning Programs.
As a Literacy Instructor, you will work with afterschool site coordinators and school district personnel to deliver top-quality academic, enrichment, and recreational services to students during the after-school hours, five days a week throughout the school year.

- Pay rate : $21 per hour
- Hours : 25 hours per week
- Paid BACR holidays
- Schedule : Monday through Friday, afternoons until 6 p.m.; Off holidays, summers, and weekends

Minimum Requirements :
- Classroom experience a plus
- Available Monday through Friday, 25 hours per week, afternoons until 6 pm
- Ability to reliably commute to Richmond
- Commitment to social justice and leadership
- Passionate about learning and youth development : K-12
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Familiarity with teaching literacy concepts
Preferred :
Commitment to a full school year, able to practice open, clear, and consistent communication, commitment to participate in professional development
Responsibilities :
- Support and maintain a safe and emotionally supportive environment
- Create, plan, and execute lesson plans that support school day learning
- Collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth-driven curriculum)
