We are searching for a Construction Manager on behalf of our client. This is a 1 yr. contract assignment. The person be supporting the Blue Lake Repower project.
This project includes installation of Wartsila engines inside of a prefabricated steel structure, building footings, foundations, and mechanical systems.
The person will also be providing oversight of all the construction contractors on that site for the owner.
Day to day, this resource will be actively participating in the scheduling and planning of the work safety observations, coordinating with engineering, project management and other site resources as well as directing certain site resources in their activities and ensuring that they're completing tasks.
Possible for extension.
Location : Minneapolis Minnesota, this is onsite position- no remote work.
Hours are 6 AM to 4 : 30 PM 5 days per week.
Per diem is available 7 days a week
Responsibilities
- Will be working with current construction managers and project managers in addition to inventory and logistics personnel as well as mechanical / civil inspectors.
- Coordination with plant personnel.
- Interacting with external construction contractors and providing oversight .
- Will work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Responsible for mechanical inspector and civil inspector
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Must have 8-10 years of previous construction management experience with construction management, preferably on the mechanical side of things.
- Mechanical construction management background is big plus.
- Must have strong relationship management skills.
- Experience policies, procedures, and environment.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office. SAP is a plus (work planning / scheduling), however, not required.
- Team also uses Adobe PRO and blue beam; experience would be helpful, not required.
- Must have OSHA 10, at a minimum.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, personable, dedicated, and focused.
