Advocate Health, one of the nation's largest and most respected health systems, is seeking a Board-Eligible / Board-Certified Full-Time EMS Physician to join our physician-led medical group at Advocate Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan, WI.
This role combines both EMS responsibilities and clinical care, offering an exceptional opportunity for professional growth in a supportive environment.
Position Highlights
- Full-Time Employed Position : Split evenly between .5 FTE as EMS Medical Director and .5 FTE as an ED Physician.
- Dynamic EMS Team : Join an active EMS team that includes an EMS physician, EMS executive director, and seasoned EMS educators.
Broad EMS Involvement
- Tactical EMS involvement with local and federal agencies.
- Oversee two county 911 center EMD programs.
- Field response vehicles for real-time education and oversight.
- Participate in county public health programs and mass gatherings like Milwaukee Brewers games and Summerfest.
- Engage in a high-fidelity simulation program.
Clinical Position Details
- High-Volume ED : 30,000 annual ED visits with high-acuity cases in a tertiary care setting.
- Efficient Workload : Well-staffed ED with an average of fewer than 1.8 patients per hour.
- Team Environment : Be part of a close-knit group of emergency medicine physicians with dedicated nocturnist coverage, resulting in very few night shifts.
- Specialist Support : Access to a full range of specialty support and a strong primary care interface.
- Shifts : Approximately 65 clinical hours per month, with a mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts.
