Your Opportunity + Impact
The Senior Financial Analyst will provide analytical support to operations teams and division leaders. This position will also provide direction to Financial Analysts (Operations Accounting) and will oversee the Operations Staff Accountant tasks.
The Senior Financial Analyst proactively finds connections between transactions and initiatives occurring across divisions and performs analyses to aid divisional leadership in making business decisions.
This position provides clear financial data and serves as the primary Finance and Accounting contact for the assigned divisions.
The responsibilities of this position will ultimately ensure the accurate, complete, and timely recording of division transaction information in the general ledger and will help facilitate sound financial decisions by project managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforces project risk management procedures and alerts division leadership about areas of non-compliance.
- Oversees Expense Reviews and Postings.
- Responsible for entire invoicing process.
- Facilitates Financial Review and Project Review meetings.
- Participates in FAR Compliance by providing detailed review of expense accounts.
- Manages Expense review process and administrative payout.
- Oversees special project administration and compensation change reports.
- Invoicing Back-Up (General), Invoicing back-up for clients with additional invoicing steps, and invoicing overall supervision.
- Oversees entire invoicing process.
Education and Experience
- Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience : Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience. Preferred experience with an A / E / S firm.
- Knowledge : US GAAP, particularly ASC 606, and FAR principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge with Microsoft office products and Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint.
- Must possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, multitask, and have flexible schedule to meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical abilities and technical skills are needed to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and other external sources in a professional manner.
