Hello, Akkodis has a contract job opportunity as a Manufacturing Engineer with a well known company in the area. This role is located in Rochester, NH and will be a 6-12 month contract to hire role.

Essential Responsibilities

Manufacturing the carbon fan blades for Aircraft engines

Qualifications / Requirements :

Develop a very thorough understanding of the manufacturing process

Create and update procedures and work instructions while taking into consideration operator feedback, equipment, process data, and customer requirements

Develop and manufacture with carbon composite.

• Lead and support process improvement and cost reduction projects
• Oversee all new and existing reworks that are required to support fan case manufacturing
• Monitor and update SPC database for current production parts

Work with data team to develop efficient and useful reporting tools

Summarize, prepare and deliver technical presentations to engineering and management

Identify opportunities for process improvement while coordinating and implementing automated solutions

Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of part manufacturing processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality standards.

Generate manufacturing data reports to support immediate feedback to the operators and generation of Quality documentation

Monitor production to detect and prevent process drifts

Analyze manufacturing data to assess capability and determine opportunities for process improvements.

Identify opportunities for automation and support the development of automated processes

Work closely with Quality department to efficiently communicate nonconforming production data

Support the implementation of Lean principles : work station design, parts flow

Create visual management standards to communicate performance

Interact with our French counterparts to report on process improvement or development activities
