Group Home Staff Member - Day and Night Shifts
Position : Adult Group Home Staff Member

Position Type : Full-time and part-time opportunities available.
Shift Details : 12-hour shifts at the group home. Work 3 days and get 4 days off weekly!
- Day shifts : 6 am - 6 pm
- Night shifts : 6 pm - 6 am

Compensation : $17 - $18 hourly

Responsibilities :
- Resident Engagement : Assess and understand the challenges residents face in achieving independent living and community integration.
- Communication Support : Assist residents in improving their communication skills for effective interactions in daily life.
- Symptom Management : Implement strategies to manage symptoms and promote residents' overall well-being.
- Social Support : Help residents build and maintain strong social support networks.
- Household Maintenance : Ensure cleanliness and organization of common areas within the group home.
- Medication Administration : Administer medications as needed and as directed by care plans.
- Skills Training : Develop and implement personalized skills training programs tailored to residents' needs, focusing on home life, work, education, leisure activities, and social interactions.
- Crisis Intervention : Provide immediate crisis intervention when needed and respond to the 24-hour crisis line promptly.
- Meal Supervision : Supervise the planning and preparation of three nutritious meals each day for residents.
- Transitional Plan Support : Follow and support the transitional treatment plans established by the manager for each resident.
- Attendance & Punctuality : Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality in line with organizational expectations.
- Documentation : Complete all necessary documentation accurately and on time, in accordance with organizational standards.
- Effective Communication : Engage in clear and effective verbal communication with clients to understand their needs.
- Physical Support : Perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, and stretching as necessary to assist residents in their daily activities.
Qualifications :
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent required. College-level courses in mental health or psychology are preferred.
- Experience : At least 1 year of experience working in a supervised setting with individuals who have severe disabling mental illness is preferred.
- Physical Requirements : Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Vision : Requires good vision, including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, with a strong ability to focus and concentrate.
