Summary : Meta is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Data Center Engineering & Construction Team. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates and upon which our innovative services are delivered.

Building and operating data centers the "right" way is synonymous with ensuring high uptime, capacity availability and capital conservation.

The data center engineering team thinks from chip to chiller (or electrical substation), determining configurations and ensuring maximum efficiency of our compute infrastructure.

Required Skills : Construction Manager, Leased Data Center Responsibilities : Manage the construction, commissioning, and turnover of a Data Center within a campus programManage the budget associated with the projectManage the cost change process and negotiate best pricingManage the schedule and associated risks to ensure reliable and predictable turnover datesManage warranty and tenant improvement work in the live environment when / as necessaryCommunicate upward regarding the status and risks of the projectNegotiate vendor and contractor contracts and purchase orders as neededMitigate risk for the project through pre-planning, innovative planning, and partnershipDevelop cost savings solutions and identify project savings / underruns earlyPartner with the General Contractor, external key stakeholders and other Vendors to build a culture of collaborationPartner with Internal Cross Functional Partners to build a culture of collaborationCoordinate needs and asks with the Procurement / Sourcing group(s) to support the needs of the ProjectSupport the pre-construction efforts for upcoming projectsPromote prefabrication strategiesSupport the development of Capital Project Budgets and Constructions ROMsSupport the Lease Delivery Manager with the lease campus-wide book of work including contractor, designer, and vendor managementSupport the on-site inspection process to ensure a zero punch-list and an expeditious turnover to FacOpsSupport the local DC Ops team and other cross-functional departments as neededPromote and model an attitude of continuous improvement, partnership, and teamwork in behaviors and communicationsSupport and lead an industry leading safety culture and programPromote and model an attitude of openness to giving, seeking, and receiving 360-degree feedback50% travel to Lease Project Build Sites across North AmericaRespond on an as-needed basis to emergenciesMaintain deep knowledge of the market and support site selection team in developing strategic partnership with the key stakeholdersManage multiple, simultaneous Data Center (DC) construction projects at strategic and project levels from inception through construction completion in alignment with Meta’s Basis of DesignWork with Site Selection on early access date coordination and managing basebuild schedule updates from key external stakeholdersSupport the creation of preliminary construction schedules and cost estimates with high level resource planning and stakeholder coordination.

Minimum Qualifications : Minimum Qualifications : 7+ years of work experience in construction managementGeneral knowledge of electrical and mechanical systemsKnowledge of industry standards, building codes and safety standards including fire protection regulationsKnowledge of capital budget managementNegotiation skills and experience providing solutions to problemsFamiliar with P6Proficient working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointProficient working knowledge of BluebeamPreferred Qualifications : Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent degree and / or minimum of 12 years direct experience in project planning and construction managementProcore software experienceBIM 360 software experienceMS Visio and SharePoint experienceLEAN Construction knowledge and application of those toolsBuilding Environment Accreditations (i.
