What does this role look like?

The role will be supporting the National Security Space Line of Business. This role will offer you the following daily challenges :

  • Lead proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities.
  • Establish and maintain excellent internal and external customer relationships
  • Implement business strategies for on-contract growth, and provide creative solutions to overcome challenges
  • Advise Contracts and Program leadership of contractual rights, obligations, and risks.
  • Lead cross-functional LM teams to negotiate contracts.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Ability to negotiate and manage contracts.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience / combined education with 8+ years of professional experience or 6+ years with a Master's degree or relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • US Citizenship required, candidate must hold TS clearance and successfully pass a drug and background check.

Desired Skills :

  • Experience in strategy development for new captures
  • Experience negotiating and managing complex development and production contracts
  • Knowledge and documented application of acquisition regulations (FAR, DFAR)
  • Experience with Other Transactional Authority (OTA) agreements.
  • Ability to work independently under very limited supervision.
  • Extremely strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Commercial -Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in contract management, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Active TS / SCI clearance
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure
  • Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership, and suppliers
  • Bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch. In addition to the work, you love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process
  • Ability to develop trusted partnerships with internal and external customers

Ability to Work Remotely : Onsite Full-time : The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules : Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position : Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week

Pay Rate :

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $91,300 - $175,000 .

  • Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees : accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons;
  • receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually;

receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate :

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $105,000 - $197,800.
