We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Video Marketing to lead our video production efforts, drive innovative video strategies, and enhance our brand's presence across digital, social and ecommerce platforms.
This role requires a leader with extensive experience in video production, 3D animation, motion graphics, post-production and social media, who can effectively communicate and present to executive leadership.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in video production, a passion for storytelling, and a proven track record in the ecommerce space.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership & Strategy :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive video strategy aligned with overall marketing and ecommerce goals.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of video producers, editors, motion graphic designers and social media producers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including buying teams, product, brand and graphic design to ensure cohesive video content.
- Present video concepts, strategies, and results to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Video Production :
- Oversee all aspects of video production, from pre-production planning through post-production and final delivery.
- Ensure the highest quality of video content, maintaining brand consistency and visual excellence.
- Utilize 3D animation and motion graphics to create engaging and innovative video content.
Post-Production :
- Continually work with the Post-Production Manager to evaluate post-production processes including editing, color correction, sound design, and special effects.
- Implement best practices for video optimization across various platforms and devices.
- Ensure timely delivery of all video projects while maintaining high standards of quality.
Innovation & Trends :
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in video production, 3D animation, and motion graphics.
- Identify and implement new tools and techniques to enhance video production capabilities.
- Drive innovation in video content to differentiate our brand in the competitive ecommerce landscape.
Social Media
Collaborate with our Social Media Manager to shape our brand's social identity and engagement through compelling social media content, driving brand awareness and customer loyalty.
Qualifications
Experience :
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in video production, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in the ecommerce industry, with a strong understanding of digital marketing and online retail environments.
Skills :
- Expertise in video production processes, including directing, cinematography, editing, and post-production.
- Proficiency in 3D animation software (e.g., Maya, Cinema 4D) and motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).
- Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and delivery specifications for various digital platforms.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate video strategies and concepts to executive leadership.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
