Job Description
Accounting Manager Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide to management for strategic decision-making.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Provide variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Implement and manage cost accounting systems to monitor and control manufacturing costs.
- Analyze cost variances and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and inventory valuation.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Partner with senior management to provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- 2+ years of managerial experience
- Manufacturing industry or relevant industry
- Cost experience nice to have
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Understanding and application of accounting principles / practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
- Strong business partnering and communication skills
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
