We are looking for exceptional agency Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) to join our team at Franklin County Jail in Columbus, OH for both short and long-term contracts.
Responsibilities
- Assist with direct patient care procedures and related tasks
- Assist in obtaining patient histories, take vital signs, prepare charts, and assist with medical examinations
- Assist doctors in examining and treating patients
- Perform routine procedures under established protocols, to include but not limited to phlebotomy, EKG’s, dressing changes, wound cultures, IM injections
- Maintain and stock medicines and medical supplies as necessary
- Practice safety, environmental and infection control methods
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program with a certification in and EKG
- Current CPR certificate
- Proficient with electronic medical records
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
