We are seeking someone interested in a Trade Accountant job. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various accounting functions related to trading activities, including reconciliation, analysis, and reporting.
Trade Accountant Job Responsibilities :
- Perform monthly reconciliation of Risk / Trading system profit and loss to the general ledger.
- Prepare and book journal entries impacting the gross margin; identify and reconcile discrepancies that affect the gross margin.
- Analyze, ensure accuracy, and prepare reconciliation of trade accruals, inventory, and other accounts.
- Understand and report profit and loss and mark-to-market attributes and movements.
- Assist in managing the preparation of consolidated financial statements and reporting to external and internal parties under IFRS and of annual and quarterly global reports.
- Field and respond to inquiries from management, traders, and external auditors.
Qualifications :
- B.S. / B.A. degree with 3-5 years of experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in commodity accounting is a plus.
- Ability to use modern, multi-currency accounting software packages.
- Must be available to work on-site 5 days a week.
